A romantic throughout the year, Fiona does not need Valentine’s Day to show love for her significant other. The singer’s passion was evident during production for ‘In The Mood’, her collaborative EP with fellow singer Hopeton Lindo.

The six-song project, first released in 2021, was reissued on January 23 by Zojak Worldwide. 

“I think it’s perfect timing because Valentine’s Day (February 14) is coming up, even though I don’t celebrate Valentine’s Day. I’m satisfied with these songs, because not only are they relatable; husbands and wives, girlfriends and boyfriends can sit and relax to them, and embrace each other,” said Fiona.

‘In The Mood’ contains three covers of classic songs. They are ‘Guilty’, originally done by Barbra Streisand and Barry Gibb, ‘You Don’t Have to Be A Star’ by the husband and wife act, Billy Davis and Marilyn McCoo, and ‘Yes I’m Ready’, a soul standard by Barbara Mason.

Lindo wrote three of the tracks on the EP for his Irie Pen Records, including ‘In Your Eyes’ and ‘In The Mood’ which are co-produced by Sly and Robbie and Rorey Baker.

Fiona credits Lindo’s steady guiding hand for the smooth running of the sessions six years ago.

“Working with Hopeton is amazing, he’s so down to earth. He’s always looking to help someone else, both in and outside of the music. He’s always looking to improve,” she said.
