When Dizzle JA was diagnosed with an “aggressive form of blood cancer” early this year, the singjay took it in stride. He had finally found out what caused considerable discomfort in his shoulder region for months.

Instead of wallowing in self-pity, he wrote and recorded ‘Fxxk Cancer’, a jab at the killer disease. He produced the song for his La-Fam Entertainment company.

‘Fxxk Cancer’ hears him recalling his months of rehabilitation in hospital, and after he left care of doctors in a Los Angeles facility.

“I left that hospital and checked into a cancer facility three days after to start treatment.  In between those three days, I started cooking and juicing some food to build back my body as I lost a lot of weight. I went to the studio and recorded the cancer song and went straight to the facility to start treatment,” said Dizzle JA.

The most arduous phase of his rehabilitation was undergoing chemotherapy which resulted in hair loss. Despite those challenges, he was eager to make a recording comeback, a return that helped rebuild his confidence.

“Positive Is my frame of mind, I know God got me as I read my Bible and pray everyday. I eat healthy and drink my herbs and live my life, and know I’ll be fully recovered soon,” said Dizzle JA.

In October, he was accompanied by his management, family and friends in a Cancer Awareness Walk in Venice Beach, Los Angeles.
