Comeback for Isha Blender

Isha Blender is currently in the studio recording songs for a new EP or album. The singer, who is based in South Florida, says seven songs have been completed.

She stepped up her recording schedule late last year after a challenging period when she endured personal tragedy.

Despite that, Blender believes she has improved as an artist.

“I've grown more mature as writer, performer and trusting my intuition. There’s still room to grow as I'm still learning as time progresses,” she said.

She added that, “Fans can definitely expect a musical treat, edifying music to uplift and inspire.”

Originally from rural Clarendon parish in central Jamaica, Isha Blender is the daughter of roots singer Everton Blender, best known for songs like “Lift up Your Head”, “Blend Dem” and “Family Man”.

She made her recording debut at age 12 with the song, “Bad Boys”, which was produced by her father. Her biggest project to date has been “Epiphany”, an EP released in 2016.

Early last year, Blender recorded and released the heartfelt “I Wish” which was dedicated to her son Josiah, who died at age seven months.

She is eager to get back in the music reckoning.

“Can I tell you? I’m like a child, seeing your present and can't open it until the specific time. I can't wait,” said Blender.
