Although he has been a gospel artist for over 20 years, Brotha George has never forgotten his secular roots. On ‘Secret Admirer’, his upcoming album, he sings for the ladies.
Co-produced by Sidney Mills and Andre "Dretegs" Hawthorne, it is scheduled for release in the first quarter of 2026.
“The new album has 10 tracks that were recorded a long time ago by Sidney and Dretegs. They took the time to update the tracks and make this presentation which is a lovers rock selection,” said Brotha George.
‘Secret Admirer’ — which is also the title of one of his early songs — will be the follow-up to ‘Firm And Strong’ which came out in 2023.
Based in Connecticut, Brotha George is currently promoting ‘DNA’, another Mills/Dretegs co-production, which was released on September 5th.
"With this song we are trying to reach a younger market, wherein we are appealing to a younger audience and spreading the word of God. They need some guidance from us too," he said.
Brotha George is originally from Kingston, Jamaica’s capital. That is where he started his recording career during the 1980s, cutting songs at studios such as the legendary Channel One.
