Touring and recording for years with Dennis Brown made Annicia Banks savor the Crown Prince of Reggae’s music much more than the average fan. 

This year, the singer covered “Love Has Found its Way”, one of ‘D Brown’s biggest hits, for her upcoming EP, “Up Front”. “The management at Raw Vue Music made the decision to cover ‘Love Has Found Its Way’. This song was one of my favorites!! I did my twist on it to make a difference without changing the melody,” said Banks. 

Dean Frasier, who played the refreshing sax break on the original, reprises his role for Banks’ version. He is accompanied by keyboardist Sidney Mills and guitarist Brandon Hess. 

Banks and fellow harmony singer Sharon Tucker toured Europe and North America with Brown, appearing at notable events such as the 1996 Reggae Sunsplash Tour. 

There are seven songs on “Up Front” which will be officially released in Summer ’21 by Raw Vue Music. “Love Has Found It’s Way” was released in February of this year. 

Born in Kingston, Jamaica, Banks has been singing professionally for over 40 years. 

She has toured and recorded as a harmony vocalist with Bunny Wailer, Marcia Griffiths, Fred Locks, Rita Marley and Sister Carol. 

Her solo recordings include a reggae cover of “This Love”, originally done by soul group The Joy-Tones.
