E-Dee grateful for latest EP

‘Grateful’, the third EP from E-Dee, was released on August 21 by Clarendon Records. It contains five songs including ‘Water Run’ which came out in March.

Another song from the mini set is ‘Beautiful Woman’, a collaboration with Ginjah. On ‘Dem Not Like We’, E-Dee teams with Jah Malo, a former member of Capleton’s camp, while he goes solo on ‘Zum Zum Zum’, produced by QMillion, who has produced the majority of the Los Angeles-based artist’s songs.

“Yuh have something for everybody on this EP! Wi mek this di different sides of E-Dee,” said the lanky deejay.

‘Grateful’ was released two weeks after ‘Temperature Rising’, the movie in which he co-stars, was released on Tubi. Directed by Oba Aswad, that drama stars Paula Jai Parker and Omar Gooding.

E-Dee plays Jacques, whom he describes as, “Your typical powerful Jamaican Don.”

His previous movies include ‘Out The Gate’ and ‘Mother In Law’. E-Dee believes the role allowed him to show his versatility.

“I loved the challenge of combining a tough gangster in a gritty role with the additional depth of a soft romantic,” he said.

From Clarendon parish in southern Jamaica, E-Dee has made a name for himself on the competitive Los Angeles entertainment scene. In addition to three EPs, he has recorded three albums.
