For millions of people, Christmas is still the happiest time of the year and Maurice Gregory happens to be one of them. He celebrates the season with the song, "Christmas in the Air" which is scheduled for release on December 11.
Gregory wrote and produced the reggae single which is distributed by Dub Shot Records.
"Christmas is a time of giving, sharing with friends and family. I always see Christmas as a time where we need to continue to spread love, the joy and the happiness and see it through the eyes of a child. That is what I wanted to express, writing this song and I hope it is delivered," he said.
This is Gregory's first recorded project since recently leaving Third World. He was a keyboardist with the Grammy-nominated band for 10 years.
Though he has also toured as a musician with Justin Hines, Freddie McGregor and Wayne Wonder, Gregory is known for his vocal abilities. "Closure", his first album, was released in 2010 while his EP, "Grooving", came out last year.
Maurice Gregory has strong musical roots. His older brothers are deejays Papa San and Dirtsman.
