Having cut his first song over 50 years ago, Dandy Livingstone knows the importance of patience in the music business. That's why when it comes to his latest album, the singer is biding his time. 

"'They CalI us Legends' was released (in) July,  2020 so it's early days considering what we’re going through re Covid. So yes, future promotions are lined-up," he said. 

Released by his Par Three Music label, "They Call us Legends" is the Kingston-based Livingstone's first album in over 30 years. It contains the title song as well as collaborations with U Roy and a cover of Dave Barker and Ansell Collins' 1971 hit song, "Double Barrel". 

Livingstone moved to the United Kingdom in 1959 and made a name as a Ska and reggae singer with songs like "Rudie A Message to You" and "Suzanne Beware of The Devil" which he puts a fresh spin on for 'Legends'. 

"Version Girl", another of his songs, was covered by UB40. That band had a massive International hit in 1983 with their cover of Tony Tribe's reggae version of Neil Diamond's "Red Red Wine", which Livingstone produced. 

"They Call us Legends" is also available on vinyl.
