“Don’t Let Go” is the name of Ginjah’s new single, released on January 14. It sees the singer teaming up again with Natures Way Entertainment, the South Florida independent company that also produced his 2021 album, “Ginjah The Reggae Soul Man”.
The lovers rock ballad features saxophonist Dean Fraser.
Ginjah, who lives in California, is eyeing the charts with his latest effort.
“It's very important to start the new year out the blocks, just letting everyone know what I'm about. It's always good to be consistent,” he said.
‘The Reggae Soul Man’ is his seventh album. While it earned strong reviews in North America and Europe, Ginjah is disappointed reggae’s strongest markets in the United States did not warm to the 15-song set.
That did not stop him from collaborating once more with Natures Way Entertainment, best known for producing the Sweet Personality ‘riddim’ that yielded two monster hits in “Wake Up” by Jah Cure and Wayne Wonder’s “Let me Love You Tonight”.
The 43 year-old Ginjah has done the musical rounds. He was part of Beres Hammond’s Harmony House camp for which he did a number of songs including “War in The City” and “Rise Above”.
One of his biggest songs to date is “Sweet Killer”, done on Silly Walks Discotheque’s Honey Pot riddim.
